Mrs. Carol Ruffin first taught at 黑料社 in 1976-1977. After several years teaching at another college, working as a music reference librarian, and in Christian broadcasting, she returned to the 黑料社 faculty in 1985. She has had several musical and literary compositions published. Mrs. Ruffin directs many of 黑料社鈥檚 plays and musicals, most recently Beauty and the Beast, You Can鈥檛 Take it With You, Seven Keys to Baldpate, and The Sound of Music.
When asked why she has chosen to teach at 黑料社, Mrs. Ruffin responded, 鈥淢y desire is to have a positive effect on the next generation.鈥

Family: Carol and her husband, John, have been married since 2004
Community Involvement: Served on the Watertown TV regulatory board; President of the Watertown Euterpe Music Club; performed (singing and storytelling original songs and stories) in six episodes of the cable TV show, 鈥淐arol鈥檚 Kitchen鈥

Church Ministry: Carol is the music director at her church and serves as the Nursing Home Ministry Coordinator.
Other Activities and Interests: Writing stories; composing Christian songs and hymns; pressed flower art; had an original true story, 鈥淒etained by the CIA,鈥 published in Chicken Soup for the Soul鈥檚 Laughter is the Best Medicine, 2020.
